About Us
Our Story
In 2008, our founder, along with a dedicated group of volunteers, invested their holiday time in a collaborative effort with NGOs and orphanages. This selfless undertaking stemmed from a profound desire to extend assistance and empathy to those facing adversity. Over the course of a decade, this meaningful endeavor revealed a notable gap in the lives of the less privileged—a lack of motivation and aspiration for a brighter future. This realization ignited a deep determination within the team to contribute to the improvement of the lives of the disadvantaged; therefore leading to the establishment of the Awesome and Beautiful Initiative (A&B). In 2018, the organization received formal recognition with its Certificate of Incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), marking the initiation of full-fledged operations.
Awesome and Beautiful (A&B) is a faith-based nonprofit organization fervently dedicated to cultivating a mindset of possibilities among all marginalized groups, including children, young adults, orphanages, and families. We are committed to instilling the courage to pursue aspirations and serve as a supportive partner, offering care and guidance on the journey to self-sufficiency.
At the core of our efforts is a commitment to addressing fundamental needs such as food and a sense of belonging in society, enabling individuals to provide for themselves and their families. Embracing a holistic approach, we design and implement sustainable programs to make a lasting impact. Each program commences with the distribution of food packages designed to sustain recipients for at least a month. Subsequently, we extend either educational support to enhance learning and drive success or health support, providing essential supplies to maintain well-being and support their families.
Our overarching goal is to empower individuals to lead balanced lives and make positive contributions to society. The initiative focuses primarily on young people and the physically challenged, striving to achieve our objectives through three primary divisions: Education/Transformation Programs, Welfare and Health Support, and Research and Global Partnerships.
Our Mandate
Our objective and name as an organization comes from the need to pass a message across to both the deprived and everyone else. Our message being “Our origin, our advantages (or lack thereof) and our external presentation should not unilaterally dictate the trajectory of our lives. We all emanate from the divine image and likeness of God. Urging us to consistently uphold our inherent identity as fearfully and wonderfully created beings”.
-
To show the power of love through God’s perspective by addressing the needs (realistic & quantifiable) of the deprived and disadvantaged. -
To raise individuals who will creatively walk in confidence and find the good in every challenge life throws at them by nurturing and encouraging them to keep dreaming, believing and start acting. -
To create fresh, exciting and memorable experiences for the disadvantaged.
