This is our new annual mentorship program targeted at students in university or about to enter university. We pair individuals from different professional backgrounds to coach students and expose them to skills and knowledge to boost their school activities and future career endeavors.
Our pioneer program was done in collaboration with a private individual; Dara Awe and Student Meets Graduate (SMG) to mentor 12 students as they transition into their university phase of life. The students had individual and group coaching sessions with their mentors for a month.
Topics such as; Entrepreneurship and developing other skills, Internship and General scholarship applications, Building CVS, Linked-In and its’ functionality, Financial Planning, and Taking professional Courses were covered. At the end, 2 students were awarded with laptops to support their educational endeavors. The students have now gone on to start their university education; studying Mathematics and Visual/Creative arts respectively.
